Music DNA

Integral Musician 1.0

Turn a song you love into your next song.

Upload a reference. We decode its DNA — key, chords, groove, mood, era, energy arc — then help you write your own from that blueprint. Every tag is auditable. Nothing is hand-waved.

Methodology v1.0 · confidence-scored · your audio stays private
Warming up the analyzer…
The gap

Every songwriter has a reference folder.

Tools today either grade your demo (Ujam, LANDR) or generate a whole song (Suno). Neither helps you learn from a song you love and write your own.

Where we sit

Music DNA sits in the missing seat.

A decoder for songs you admire, so their DNA becomes source material — not a mold. You keep the taste. We do the reverse-engineering.

The honesty model

Three layers. Every tag scored.

Solid borders mean high confidence. Dashed borders mean "not sure yet." You always know what the engine is sure of.

L1 · Measured
high confidence
Signal, not opinion
Key: G major · BPM: 92 · 4/4 · −9.8 LUFS
Direct DSP measurements. High confidence by default.
L2 · Derived
high confidence
Computed from L1
Harmonic complexity: Low · Vocal presence: 62%
Deterministic transforms with published thresholds.
L3 · Interpreted
may be low
Reasoned, cited
Mood: melancholic · Era: late-90s indie · Sounds-like: Elliott Smith
LLM reasoning with the L1/L2 evidence attached. Often dashed.

Click "why" on any tag. Every claim traces back to a measurement.

The workflow

Reference in. Blueprint out.

01
Isolate
Stems separated in about 30 seconds — drums, bass, vocals, other.
02
Measure
Key, BPM, chords, energy arc, groove — every value confidence-scored.
03
Reason
Genre, mood, era, sounds-like — with the L1/L2 evidence attached as citations.
04
Create
Transpose to your key, chat with the DNA, export a Markdown brief.
It learns you.
Every correction and 👍/👎 tunes the next generation. After a handful of sessions the sketches sound like you — not generic.
Nothing is hand-waved.
Confidence scores on every tag. Dashed borders mean 'not sure.' No fake certainty, no black boxes.
The DNA is a scaffold, not a mold.
Break any of it. The app just makes sure you break it on purpose — and shows you what changed.

Is this a Suno competitor?
No. Suno generates songs. We decode songs so you write better ones.
Do you train on my uploads?
No. Corrections tune thresholds for your library — we never silently retrain models on your audio.
What if a tag is wrong?
Long-press → Correct. Your version becomes truth for your library, and the fix propagates to related tags.
A cappella / classical / jazz?
Works — but expect low-confidence tags (dashed). The engine tells you when it's guessing.
What does it cost?
Free during beta. Paid tiers land after v1.0 locks.
Where does my audio live?
A private storage bucket scoped to your user ID. The AI layer only sees extracted numbers.
